ECED 115 Observation and Assessment of Young Children Prerequisite: ED 101 3 lectures per week: 3 hrs credit This course explores developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive observation and assessment strategies for studying the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children. Students will develop skill in using systematic observation and documentation techniques and understand the relationship between careful observation, assessment, and effective interaction with children. Field observations are a critical component of this course.
