ELECT 106 DC Motors and Generators Prerequisite: ELECT 101 with a C or better 2 lectures per week: 2 hrs credit This course is a study of DC generators and motors. Topics covered include the construction, basic principles, speed-voltage characteristics, and regulation of DC generators. Also covered are basic principles, speed-torque characteristics, types of field excitation, and starting procedures of motors.
