ENG 217 Coming to America: Literatures of Immigration

Prerequisite: Qualifying placement via multiple measures into ENG 101 , or completion of ENG 099 with a grade of “C” or higher.
3 lecture hours: 3 credit hours
This course surveys literature written recently by people in the United States of minoritized immigrant backgrounds. Attention will be given to the complex interplay of various forms of identity in prose fiction, poetry, and drama.
