NURS 100 Nurse Assistant Training

Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 099 or higher. Must be 16 years of age and have Social Security card. Students enrolled in NURS 100 are required to have a background check, physical examination, drug screen, proof of immunizations, and 2-step TB test.
6 lectures, 3 lab hrs per week: 7 hrs credit
This course teaches the basic nursing skills necessary to become a nursing assistant. Students are led from the integrated roles of the health care team to the specific duties of the nursing assistant and the skills necessary to give basic patient care and to deal with families.
