DA 298 Clinical Applications I

Prerequisite: Admission into the Dental Assisting Program
1 lecture, 2 lab: 2 credit hours
This course will document the student’s participation in externships in a variety of dental office settings to achieve 75 hours of clinical practice experience. Weekly meetings for one hour to discuss and record externships and experiences. Students will also participate in a community service project. Resume writing and job interview skills will be taught. DANB board examination application procedures and dental hygiene application procedures will also be discussed.
