MATH 093 Preparation for College Algebra Prerequisite: MATH 085 with a C or better or placement via multiple measures. 5 lectures per week: 5 hrs non-degree, non-transfer credit This course provides the developmental algebra topics necessary for success in College Algebra with its Math 094 Corequisite. This course is intended for students who eventually need courses such as Calculus, Business Calculus, Math for Elementary School Teachers, Probability and Statistics, or other advanced math courses. Topics covered include solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing lines, exponent rules, operations on polynomials, radical and rational exponent properties and operations, factoring, and simplifying rational expressions.
